A Journey from Botanical Art to Plant-Based Dinner
Date: Friday, October 16, 2026
Time: 18:00 – 21:00
Location: Treehouse NDSM – Cantina (1st Floor), Amsterdam
Art and cooking share the same primary root: transforming raw matter to create meaning, nourishment, and beauty. In my journey, these two worlds have never been separate—they are parallel languages that speak of care, presence, and metamorphosis.
This workshop stems from the belief that what we often discard holds an unexpressed aesthetic and sensory value. Extracting vibrant pigment from a root or weaving a composition from vegetable peels is a way to practice a sustainable gaze on the world, where reuse becomes an act of pure poetic creation.
No prior artistic experience is needed. Creativity is a natural, intimate space that belongs to everyone, emerging effortlessly when we allow ourselves to explore with our hands and senses. After the studio practice, our creative flow shifts seamlessly around a shared table. During dinner, the very materials explored in art return as nourishment: a warm, community moment where we can present our artworks, share stories, and connect.
Safe Space: This experience is open to everyone. We operate within a queer-safe space—an inclusive, respectful environment where every identity and form of self-expression is welcomed, celebrated, and protected.
